Italy Five people were killed and two seriously injured in an explosion at a fireworks factory in Sicily. Among the dead was the 71-year-old wife of the family-run factory’ s owner, police said. The owner’ s son was taken to hospital in a serious condition. A consumer association, Codacons, said that 68 people had been killed in blasts at fireworks companies since 2000.
