In occasione della Giornata Internazionale della Donna, è fondamentale ricordare che le donne e le ragazze rifugiate e sfollate non sono solo sopravvissute a situazioni di crisi e conflitto, ma sono anche protagoniste del cambiamento, leader nelle loro comunità e motori di trasformazione sociale. Tuttavia, per poter esprimere appieno il loro potenziale, devono essere supportate con azioni concrete che garantiscano loro sicurezza, istruzione, autonomia economica e pari opportunità.

Con questa consapevolezza, il Codacons promotore del progetto A Better Future for Women, un’iniziativa dedicata alle donne rifugiate in Italia, che mira a favorire il loro inserimento sociale e lavorativo attraverso percorsi formativi mirati e strumenti di empowerment. Il progetto si concentra su diversi ambiti chiave:

• Formazione e istruzione, per garantire l’accesso a competenze essenziali e opportunità di crescita professionale.
• Inclusione lavorativa, per abbattere le barriere che ostacolano l’ingresso delle donne rifugiate nel mercato del lavoro.
• Consulenza legale e amministrativa, per aiutarle a orientarsi nel sistema burocratico e accedere ai propri diritti.
• Supporto psicologico e sociale, per fornire assistenza e costruire una rete di solidarietà che rafforzi la loro indipendenza.

Il progetto non è solo un aiuto immediato, ma un investimento in un futuro più equo e inclusivo. Garantire alle donne rifugiate autonomia e opportunità significa promuovere una società più giusta, in cui nessuna venga lasciata indietro.

Oggi più che mai, dobbiamo impegnarci affinché queste donne non siano viste solo come vittime, ma come risorse preziose per la costruzione di un domani migliore. Lavorare per la loro emancipazione significa creare un cambiamento duraturo, capace di trasformare le loro vite e arricchire l’intera società.

International Women’s Day

On International Women’s Day, it is essential to remember that refugee and displaced women and girls are not only survivors of crisis and conflict, but are also protagonists of change, leaders in their communities and drivers of social transformation. However, in order to fully express their potential, they must be supported with concrete actions that guarantee them safety, education, economic autonomy and equal opportunities.

With this awareness, Codacons promotes the project A Better Future for Women, an initiative dedicated to refugee women in Italy, which aims to promote their social and work inclusion through targeted training courses and empowerment tools. The project focuses on several key areas:

• Training and education, to ensure access to essential skills and opportunities for professional growth.
• Work inclusion, to break down the barriers that hinder refugee women’s entry into the labor market.
• Legal and administrative advice, to help them navigate the bureaucratic system and access their rights.
• Psychological and social support, to provide assistance and build a network of solidarity that strengthens their independence.

The project is not just immediate help, but an investment in a more equitable and inclusive future. Ensuring autonomy and opportunities for refugee women means promoting a more just society, where no one is left behind.

Today more than ever, we must work to ensure that these women are not seen only as victims, but as precious resources for building a better tomorrow. Working for their emancipation means creating lasting change, capable of transforming their lives and enriching the entire society.
