Air traffic glitch snarls Rome airport passenger traffic
(ANSA) Rome, May 15 – A technical problem in the air traffic control system at Rome’s Ciampino and Leonardo da Vinci Airports led to delays in flights and re-routing of some air traffic to other facilities, the Codacons consumer protection watchdog body said Friday. Passengers affected by the disruption have a right to compensation and the ENAC civil aviation authority should open a desk to allow for protection of passengers’ rights without them having to start legal proceedings to obtain compensation, Codacons said.
